Dr. Lynch’s Patient Care Philosophy
I am proud to have built a team of professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality care and beset treatment outcomes in a compassionate, patient-centered, and supportive manner.
Our team’s guiding principles for every patient encounter:
Patient-centered Care
We provide care with a team approach – I, along with my physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, administrative specialists, and the patient are the essential components of this team. With a clear understanding of the patient’s goals, we work together to develop a care plan tailored to provide the best outcome for that patient’s individual needs, goals, and expectations.
Compassion
Shoulder pain can be miserable. For those who have experienced a loss of comfort and function as a result of a shoulder problem, you know what I mean. We believe that every patient should be treated with compassion, empathy, and respect. We support our patients not just by providing expert subspecialty shoulder care, but also by listening to our patients’ concerns, answering their questions, and involving support from friends and family when necessary or appropriate. We believe that “knowing the patient” is as important as “knowing the shoulder”. To this day, patients who visit our clinic are grateful, not just for the expert subspecialty shoulder care they receive from our fellowship-trained, board-certified shoulder specialists; but more importantly, they are grateful for the friendship and support they find in all of our providers who believe and embody the principles of being good doctors, not just good surgeons.
Communication
Sometimes things can get lost in translation while using medical terminology and surgical jargon, so clear communication is essential to high-quality care. Our team takes the time to explain diagnoses, discuss treatment options, and provide an explanation of expected outcomes that are easily understandable to the patient and their loved ones. We encourage patients to ask questions and are grateful when patients participate in their own care.
Excellence
We have prepared for decades mastering techniques thorough study and repetition to provide the best possible care to our patients. I am personally involved in research, teaching, and consulting on a national level to ensure that our patients receive the most up-to-date evidenced-based care possible.
Collaboration
I am very blessed to be surrounded by not just good people – but GREAT people. Our office staff is motivated, hardworking, and unbelievably talented. From the front desk administrative specialists to our medical assistants, radiology technologists, billing and coding specialists, physician assistants, and our nursing staff – all perform at the top of their game and understand the value of “quality” patient care as I understand it. They are as motivated as I am to provide the best patient care experience possible. It shows that they are proud of their work, proud of our clinic, and most importantly, proud of our patients’ success as they each have an integral role in their recovery.
